Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. For senior pets, we encourage examinations twice each year. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep our companions feeling their best:

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs. Our videoscope and microscope with a screen allow you to see what the doctor sees, helping you to understand your pet's condition. Our PST (Pulsed Signal Therapy) machine treats arthritis and joint pain without drugs, and improves your pet's quality of life. 
      
Surgical Services:  Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. We are one of a few select hospitals offering minimally invasive laparascopic spay, reducing pain and speeding the healing  process.
 
Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
    
Internal medicine consults: We offer in-hospital referrals to an internal medicine specialist who performs ultrasounds, endoscopic procedures and helps us with the diagnosis of more complicated cases.
   
Radiology Services:  Redstone Animal Hospital now offers Digital Radiology.  This allows the pet's owners to take home copies of their pet's radiographs as well as allow the doctor to e-mail radiographs to specialists for either review or for continuing care in special situations like orthopedic surgery or cancer treatment.
   
Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.
   
Dentistry:  Our staff has recently had additional training to upgrade their dentistry skills. Our dental services include ultrasonic teeth scaling and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery. Our dental department includes state- of-the-art dental, monitoring, and digital dental radiograph equipment. We also carry a full line of home-care products for your pet's teeth.
   
Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, and serology. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
    
Permanent identification: We offer and recommend microchip identification to help reunite you and your pet, should you become separated.
    
Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of Royal Canin prescription diets. Hill's and Eukanuba prescription diets are available upon request.

Risk Assessment:  We look at your family and your pet's lifestyle to determine which vaccinations are appropriate for your pet. Not all pets have the same needs.

Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
    
Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.

Boarding:  My Pet's Place at RedStone is our boarding partner in quality pet care and shares our location. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during My Pet's Place business hours Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to noon, and Sunday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Bathing:  Therapeutic bathing services as well as routine bathing and brushing are available to help your pet feel and look his best.
