Hi! I am Chris Ayers, the official trainer at My Pets Place. I have been working for My Pets Place since 2018 and have been training dogs since 2016. My favorite part about being a trainer for My Pets Place is meeting dogs with all sorts of different personalities and having the opportunity to figure out how they think and learn. I am an AKC- certified trainer and an official evaluator for the Canine Good Citizen course and S.T.A.R puppy class I specialize in positive reinforcement and fear-free training. When I am not training, I spend my free time hanging out with my dog, Winnie, who often accompanies me to work.
What Types of Training Classes Are Offered?
AKC Puppy Classes: $300 for 5-week program and $25 for evaluation
This is a 5-week program for puppies under 1-year-old! Our AKC trainers will host 1-hour classes on Saturday mornings at My Pets Place. We will teach basic commands, manners, and socialization. After an evaluation test, your puppy can graduate with an AKC puppy star certificate.
One on One Training: $90 per session
Our trainer will meet with you for one hour sessions to work on any specific needs that you or your dog need help with! These sessions can take place off-site, in your home, or at our facility.
Board-n-Train:
Having your dog stay overnight allows us to have complete control of your dog’s activities and behaviors. Our trainer will give your dog individualized attention throughout the day and will update you daily on your dog’s progress.
Pricing for Board-n-Train:
- 1-night board n train - $125
- 5-night board n train package - $500
Old Dogs/ New Tricks: $32/class
This is a one hour questions and answers session with our trainer! This group class is for new clients looking to learn more about our training style and for existing clients wanting to refresh on past classes. These classes take place on Saturdays from 10:30 am – 11:30 am at My Pets Place
